The Turkish Authorities have adopted EU liquid restrictions to protect you against the threat of liquid explosives. Since March 2009 these are in force at all Turkish airports.
Now, you and your hand luggage will be checked for liquids in addition to other prohibited articles at the security check.
You are only allowed to take small quantities of liquids in your hand luggage. Please click hereto see what quantities are permitted and how to pack them.
Liquids include:
- Water and other drinks, soups, syrups
- Creams, lotions and oils
- Perfumes
- Sprays
- Gels, including hair and shower gels
- Contents of pressurized containers, including foams and deodorants
- Pastes, including toothpaste
- Liquid-solid mixtures
- Mascara
- Any other item of similar consistency
Exceptions apply for medicines and dietary requirements and duty-free goods bought at the airport.
